Loves Me Tilda at Friday Sketchers 63

A very Happy Friday everyone!! I hope this finds you at the end of a wonderful week and the beginning of a splendid weekend! It is so difficult to believe that this month has passed so quickly...I hope that is because we are all having so much fun!!!

Today marks another week at Friday Sketchers, Week 63, where we have a challenging and fun sketch by the wonderfully talented and lovely Jeanette from Canada.

I hope you will visit us over at Friday Sketchers and have a look at the DT Sample Cards using Jeanette's sketch and visit the blogs of these talented ladies. Please use this sketch and make your own card and share with us this week. All you have to do is provide your blog posting in a comment and link back to Friday Sketchers in your post. There is always a very nice prize each week for some lucky contributor.

I used Bazzill CS for the base, PTI Lemon Tart and SU Brocade Blue CS for the matting and all of the DP is digital. Loves me Tilda is on her way to Magnolia-licious and is from the Lazy Summer Days Collection 2009. I stamped Tilda twice on Cryogen White, colored her with Copics, and cut her out. I stitched the first 2 panels and added a triple nestie after airbrushing the white one with Copics. Tilda was then propped up on dimensional tape and I added tiny yellow button brads to all corners. Finally I made a triple daisy treatment on the bottom right using leaf ribbon for the stems and on the top left added a BowEasy bow of yellow banded organza ribbon and a daisy charm.

For the inside I used the same digital paper...on the first panel I simply added bands of yellow and blue banded organza ribbon and BowEasy bows again to match. For the jotting panel I made a triple daisy flower stem to repeat from the front of the card!

Thank you so much for dropping by...we love it when you visit and let us know what you think!! I hope you all will have a wonderful weekend and please come back often!! Your visits and comments make our day for sure!!! Big hugs for Everyone!!

Tilda with Candy Cane for Christmas in July

Happy Monday and Welcome to Magnolia-licious Christmas in July Challenge!! I hope you have had a marvelous weekend and are ready to start a fantastic week and will join us in this fun challenge over on Magnolia-licious Highlites.

For my card I used Bazzill CS for the base, Prismatics Herbal Garden Light and SU Real Red CS for the matting, and Daisy D's Snowflakes and Holly DP. I stitched the first layer on the front, then made a square of Cryogen white, edging it with MS Corner Loop and Wing Edger Loop punches, and propping it up on dimensional tape. I then added a square of coordinating DP. I stamped Tilda with Candy Cane from the Christmas Collection 2008 twice and colored her with Copics and a touch of Spica on the bow and Diamond Stickles on the wings. This little girl (along with many from the Christmas and holiday collections) is now available over at Magnolia-licious. I also propped Tilda up. I added 3 layer poinsettias and holly by Prima and made the centers from MM Vintage Findings pearl flowers. I also added a polymer clay candy cane which I colored with Copics to match the one Tilda is holding. Finally I added larger pearls to the remaining 2 corners.

I used the same DPs on the inside of the card. On the first panel I used a simple olive organza ribbon and a mini Tilda with Candy Cane colored with copics. And on the jotting panel I used another punched square for the message and trimmed it with another triple poinsettia. Finally all corners were softened with small pearls.

Thank you so much for your visit. We always love to see you drop by and hope that you will leave us your thoughts. Remember it is not too early to start thinking about your Christmas cards and how cute those Maggies can be for the holidays! You may also want to drop over and see what Diana has in stock and start thinking about which Maggies you may want for the winter holidays. Have a wonderful week and come back soon!! Hugs...

Strawberry Tilda At Friday Sketchers 62

A very happy Friday everyone! I hope you have all had a magnificent week! I also wanted to send my sincere thanks for all of your well wishes for my family situation and also for the numerous kindnesses, cards, and emails I received for my birthday this week!!

This week I am hosting Friday Sketchers for Week 62 and I do hope that all of you will visit us this week and make a card using my sketch below and will submit the card for a wonderful prize from SHIMMERZ. Please go have a peek at the wonderful DT Sample Cards, visit the blogs of the DT, and let them know what you think of their beautiful cards! When you submit a comment with a link to your card on your blog, please remember to also link Friday Sketchers in your post in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.

For my card this week, I used Bazzill CS for the base and PTI Poppy Red and Leaf Green CS for the matting. All of the DP are digital papers. I also used Strawberry Tilda from the Lazy Summer Days Collection 2009 which is available at Magnolia-licious. She was stamped on Cryogen White and was colored with Copics and a tiny touch of Spica on the watering can. I used some leaves and white flowers to make a strawberry blossom bouquet and of course I attached and dangled 3 enamel strawberry charms from the bouquet. My ribbon treatment is red organza made with Bow-Easy. I also added red photo corners to the image panel and finished the front with tiny red brads.

I apologize for not having the inside of the card completed but will edit this post during the week and will show you what it looks like if you wish to come back later.

I hope you like this little girl and will come back and see us often. Thank you so much for visiting and hope you will leave us a note letting us know what you think of this card. Have a wonderful weekend and I will be back in the swing of things soon...Hugs to all!!

Magnolia-licious Edwin Blog Hop AND a Wee Touch of Jungle Safari Sweetness

Wooohoooooooo!!! Happy Friday and Welcome to the Magnolia-licious Edwin Blog hop!! Often we forget about Poor Edwin and opt to only use our Tildas -- I am guilty as well!! So for this Blog Hop the DT at Magnolia-licious wanted to emphasize the cuteness and versatility of Edwin as a motif on our cards.

I am the very beginning of the Blog Hop this time and want you to know that I am so happy you have arrived!!! I hope that you will visit the blogs of each of the very talented Design Team members and see what they have in store for you---lovely cards, sweet stuff, kind words and FUN!!! Since you have arrived at the beginning of the Hop, please make sure that you follow through until you reach the end. All Blog Hop details and information on how you can participate and win prizes are located on the Magnolia-licious HighLites blog site.

For my card I have used Jungle Edwin and Tilda and Edwin Tours bus from the Pet and Animal Collection 2009 and the Traveler Luggage from the So Heavenly, Travel and School Collection 2008 which are all available at Magnolia-licious. In addition, please note that Diana has put together some fantastic "bundles" which are Lazy Summer Days and Surf's Up which are not only absolutely precious but also the best deals in the Maggie universe!!! Please check them out...you will be so impressed with the groupings that Diana has made for you and the delightful extras that she always adds to your bundle!!!!

I used Bazzill CS for the card base, Prismatics Spring Willow Dark and SU More Mustard for matting, and DCWV Safari Chic Matstack DP, which was a special gift from the quintessentially talented Claudia Rosa. My card this time is not only for the Magnolia-licious Blog Hop but also for my DT sample card at Friday Sketchers since I am using the exciting and challenging sketch by the talented and lovely Jacqueline of the Netherlands who is this week's hostess at Friday Sketchers. Gosh! I hope when you finish with the Blog Hop that you can also go over to Friday Sketchers and see the wonderful DT sample cards and will have some time during the coming week to join us there by uploading your card using the same sketch.

On the front of the card I made the right border jungle vine of silk variegated green leaves and gold-colored Modern Romance jungle flowers, stamped Edwin 3 times(2 for the front and 1 for inside), colored with Copics, used dimensional tape for a more pronounced motif. I completed the front with pieces of silk fern, tiny and decorative nickel brads, and a framed sentiment. You will also note that I added a scrapper's floss rope to Edwin's hand because I don't know what that thing is that he is holding AND somebody has to tie the luggage on the tour bus!!! Maybe it's a machete to chop through the jungle????

For the inside of my card I used coordinating DP from the same paper stack. On the first panel I stamped and colored the tour bus with Copics three times...the first 2 I used in their entirety with dimensional tape and the third one was just the tire thingie on the back of the bus. I also used some Diamond Glaze on the windows and Spica on metal parts. I then added the leftover Edwin and put another little rope in his hand. Finally I added some more jungle foliage and tiny brads.

On the jotting panel, I stamped the Travelers Luggage twice and colored them with Copics with a touch of Spica and added them with dimensional tape. I then made a lacing treatment of loopy bradlines and scrappers floss to emphasize the luggage laced on the roof of the bus. I then added my jotting spot and placed tiny brads on all of the sharp corners on the panel. I hope you like my little Safari Boy!!!!

To thank you for your participation in our Blog Hop, I have put together with my card a matching windowed gift bag filled with Safari Spa goodies all in a yummy Chocolate Vanilla Sugar fragrance...gosh that sounds good enough to eat...lol: body butter, body wash, body lotion, body scrub, body soap, bath salt. The inspiration for the windowed gift bag comes from Jacqueline who has some lovely decorated gift bags on her site!!

If you would like to win this set, please leave a comment for me. I will draw a winner on Friday, July 24 at 8PM EST using random.org.

So after you leave your comment, continue on your merry way to see what fun and excitement Sharon has in store for you. I know you will be enthralled because Sharon is unbelievably talented and can make those Edwins almost talk to you!!! In addition she can make that Cricut apparatus (lol) chirp with the very best!!! I hope you will have a blast as you hop along with us and will also join us on this Edwin Challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites where you will get all instructions and prizes to be won!! Have a safe and fun safari!!!! I enjoyed having you drop by and hope that you will come back often...Magnolia-licious hugs and more hugs!!!

Tilda Hugging Bunny for The Next Level AND Some Celebration Sweet Stuff!!!!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that your weekend was special indeed and that you are starting a marvelous week!

I am so thrilled to have been asked to be the Guest Designer this week at The Next Level joining with Ann and Dawn and their fabulously talented Design Team to create a card using the following sketch with the image being decoupaged/3D. Gosh!! The words Designer and design make me very nervous as I certainly don't see myself as designing anything...I just cut and glue until it looks kinda RIGHT!!! LOL nervously!!! Nevertheless, my sincere thanks to Ann and Dawn for the confidence you have in my work to ask me to serve in this capacity this week. I hope you will visit The Next Level and join with us this week. I would love to see your interpretation of the sketch and your 3D image!!

Although I am using Tilda Hugging Bunny, available at Magnolia-licious from the Easter Collection 2009, this card is a special request to be given to a special lady's SIL who owns a bunny. I was sent pictures of the bunny for coloration -- yes, the bunny is dark on the bottom half, light on the top half, and has ONE dark eye-- and of the recipient for her proper hair color. And, yes, the lady has pierced ears!! lol...I hope that I have met all of the specs along those lines and that the recipient will enjoy it.

I used Bazill CS for the card base, PTI Spring Rain and Sweet Blush CS for all matting, the dotted DP is from the Bitty Dot Basics pad from PTI, and the remaining DP is from Papermania Signature Collection Blueberry Hill. I used a zigzag stitch this time to match the white cotton picot trim on the back dotted circle. For the front circle I cut a circular frame from chipboard and wrapped it with a pink variegated braid trim then attached a Cryogen White background. I then stamped the image 4 times and colored with Copics and cut them out. I also used Diamond Stickles on the wings. The first 2 images were used in their entirety. The next image was just Tilda, and the last image was just part of the shirt and wings. I hope you can detect the 3 (actually 4 lol) dimensional effect in the following picture. To complete the image panel I added white polka dots to Tilda's shirt with a Signo to match the dotted DP and added a tiny pink pearl for the earring.

To complete the sketch requirements I added a computer generated sentiment on Spellbinders label with the same pink braid, tied on a gold bunny with cording (shown in the first picture), added 2 Prima Trellis Roses which I dotted with Glossy Accents for a dewy effect, and finally added larger pink pearls to the corners. And here is the inside....if your name is Pam or Niblet, this card just may be coming to YOU!!!!
I used coordinating DP from the same Blueberry Hill paper pack, additional braid, another Spellbinder label with "Pam & Niblet", flowers from Crafty Feeling, a gold heart charm, a Bow-Easy bow trimmed with pink pearls, additional cotton picot trim, and a few scattered pearls. I wanted the jotting place to look kinda like a little bunny hutch. So Diana, how did I do???? Hope your SIL really likes her surprise!!!!

AND........
Gosh, I have so much to CELEBRATE on my 3 Month anniversary of having a blog in Cyberia--it is more than I can fathom or believe!!! I have made so many wonderful friends all over the world and have learned so much from all of you!! I am so humbled that in these 3 short months that I have 139 Followers, that I have had more than 22,000 visitors, that I was asked by Kelly at KL Stampin n Scrappin to be a Guest Designer, that I was given a Design Team position by Diana at Magnolia-licious, that I was selected from many talented artists to be on the Design Team for Friday Sketchers, that I was selected to be Guest Designer at The Next Level this week---and the list goes on and on. To show my sincere appreciation for each of you and to celebrate my birthday on July 22, I am offering the following "SWEET STUFF":

Edwin Goes Surfing on Friday Sketchers 60

A very happy Friday to each and every one!!! And today is Friday Sketchers 60 which is being hosted by the very talented Heidi from Norway. She has made a very fun and interesting challenge sketch for us this week and I hope you will drop over to check out all of the DT cards. Please join with us this week in making your card using Heidi's sketch and uploading it for everyone to see. There is a very nice prize this week so come on over!!! Be sure to link your post back to Friday Sketchers in order to be eligible for the prize!!

I used Bazzill CS for the base of my card, Prismatics for matting, and several papers from the MME Breaking Away collection. I also used a cute Surfing Edwin from the Lazy Summer Days Collection 2009 which is the newest collection and was found in the Summer Kits. This stamp along with all of the other new ones from this collection will be available very soon as individual EZ mounted stamps at Magnolia-licious. I stamped Edwin on Cryogen White and colored him with Copics and a tiny touch of Spica on the zipper and pull, added a couple of MME add-ons, a bit of kitchen twine, and several seashell buttons to give Edwin that beachy, surfin' setting. Finally I added pewter brads to the corners that look like little suns.

For the very simple inside I used coordinating DP, a few add-ons and a bit of kitchen twine.

I hope you like this little surfer boy and will let me know what you think of him. I appreciate your dropping by to see what's in store today and hope that you will come back often. Remember that this coming Monday I am Guest Designer for The Next Level and I would love for you to come by and see what's in store!! I have a surprise for you and don't want for you to miss it!!!

Thank you all so much...enjoy your weekend...and until the next time, bunches of hugs!!

Stop!!! And Smell The Tulips!!!

Happy Tuesday!!! I hope that you are having a magnificent week!

One of my bestest friends on-line and soon to be for REAL sent me this darling stamp and it arrived yesterday...Thank you sooooo much, Trixie Lee!!!! I was sooooooo scared to try it but I was just itching to get her cute little face all inky and decided to make my card for The Next Level this week which challenges us to use buttons and bows. If you have not visited this fairly new challenge blog you should waltz over and see what beautiful DT cards have been made this week. And don't forget, next week I am Guest Designer and I certainly want you to come see me then!!!! I am so excited AND nervous!!!!

For the front of my card I HAD to use this darling Doraline With a Bouquet of Tulips from a new Canadian company Motivet. I used Bazzill CS for the card base, SU Real Red for matting, and Spring Rain from the PTI Bitty Dots Basic paper pad. Doraline was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics and a tiny touch of Diamond Glaze on her black patent shoes, and cut out using Blossom nesties. The band of wide red satin ribbon is from Honeysuckle Hollow which has a splendid ribbon and vintage section, and the blue is PTI Spring Rain grosgrain. The red tulips in the corners are buttons and the triple flowers are all from Crafty Feeling in the UK. The centers of the flowers and the 2 other corners are Icons red rhinestones. To finish the front I made 2 tiny red organza bows with a Bow-Easy.

I used the same papers and ribbon and nesties on the inside and in the same basic sketch as the front...adding some more tulip buttons and smaller red rhinestones.

Thank you so much for dropping by!! I hope you will take a moment to let me know what you think of little Doraline and will come back often. I just love having you visit!!! Hugs!!!

Tilda Goes To The Next Level

Happy Sunday everyone! It is a dreary rainy day here so a great kick back day for doing not much of anything!! Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to write me such sweet notes over the past week!!

To brighten my day I wanted to make a card using the sketch for The Next Level where Madge and Dawn bring so many tips and hints, instruct so ably, and challenge us to push ourselves outside of the box. If you haven't visited their blog site, I urge you to drop by and see what's happening over there. I'm sure you will find lots of things of great benefit, some freebies, and some fun, all at the same time!

I used Bazzill CS for the base and the remainder of the card is all from the new Basic Grey Lemonade paper pack...that even sounds yummy, doesn't it? Little Tilda With Flower is from the Spring/Summer Collection 2008 and is available at Magnolia-licious. As you can tell, I kept very closely to the sketch, adding ribbons in coordinating colors, a gold heart button for the embellishment, a sweet sentiment in the upper left to which I added a matching flower to the one Tilda is holding, circled the airbrushed paper doilies with flowers, and finally added 3 burgundy pearls to the upper right corner...

And a very simple inside:

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you will let us know what you think of her. Take care and be safe...Hugs!!

Things Are Cooking at Friday Sketchers 59!!

A very Happy Friday everyone!!! Happy July and for many I wish for you a safe and happy upcoming holiday...for those of you who are not celebrating a holiday, you can pretend!!!

It is time for Friday Sketchers 59 where the quintessentially talented Claudia is hosting this week. She has a very exciting and fun challenge for us with a wonderful prize that can be won by YOU!! I hope you will come see our sample cards and join with us this week. Please upload your cards so we can see your wonderful and creative interpretations of Claudia's sketch. We will be looking forward to your joining with us!!

And welcome to Cooking Time! My sample card this week uses two delightful stamps from hÄnglar & stÄnglar -- the precious cupcake girl and the darling wooden mixing cabinet with all the ingredients. To celebrate the Fourth of July holiday and to join in with Kerry's Three Clovers Thursday Challenge and Janet's Corrosive Challenge, I have made my card in the red/white/blue colorway. I used Bazzill CS for the card base, PTI for all matting, MME Breaking Free DP, and Cryogen White for images and image panel. You will notice that in order to use a horizontal motif panel I had to flip the sketch 90 degrees but I kept all of the details and positioning of Claudia's sketch.

I stitched the base panels, stamped the 2 images, colored with Copics, cut out and propped up on dimensional tape. I also used a tiny touch of silver Spica on the hardware and a spot of Diamond Glaze on the cupcake cherry. The images are set on a Copic colored hardwood floor and I added a triple spoon button for wall decoration in the scene. I added red/ecru gingham ribbon and used a flat bow with metal mixing spoon for the embellishment/sentiment requirement. Finally I added a few red mini-brads and 3 vintage buttons laced with tiny red ribbon that I wanted to look like 3 red ribbons that she won!!!! NOW I am ready to eat that yummy cupcake!!!!!

The inside is just left over scraps of DP from the front, stitching, a bit of the gingham ribbon from the front, and another spoon button on the jotting spot.

Thank you so much for dropping by. I hope that you will leave us a note telling us what you think of these cute H&S images and the card. Best wishes for a marvelous weekend...be safe and enjoy many smiles!! Bunches of hugs!!!

Tilda Gathers Roses for YOU and ME!!!!

A very happy Wednesday and a happy July to each and every one!! This week has been a very trying one for me so I hope you can understand that my postings and comments have been minimal and I am just not myself these days. My Dad, 80 years old, was diagnosed with full-blown Alzheimers and the doctor would not let him return home where he had been living alone since my Mom's massive stroke 2 years ago. So he has joined my Mom at the Life Care Center where she has been for the past two years. I have inherited, and quickly adopted Lucky, their little black mini-human in a poodle suit...smile...so all of the news is not bad!

I have also been asked to be a Guest Designer for Issue 7 on The Next Level which is certainly thrilling yet humbling. If you have not visited this challenge blog, please do so as it is very interesting and educational!! Madge (Ann) and Dawn are doing an exceptional job to bring us much innovation, instruction, and fun!!! I am really looking forward to my week during Issue 7 on The Next Level and hope you will join me then!!!

Since it's my birthday month ...wooooohooooooo, I have been asked to design the July Sketch for Magnolia-licious (not really the reason but I can pretend..lol) and really enjoyed making it for us all to use. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!! I am thrilled to invite you to make a card using this same sketch and download it to MrLinky on the Magnolia-licious Hi-lites site where you will also find all of the other DT members' cards during the month..Ta-daaaaaa...here is the sketch:

Please feel free to flip the sketch in any direction and use each of the panels in any way your heart desires. I would love for you to join with me and the other members of the DT in uploading your cards for all of us to see and get ideas from. Seeing your lovely cards is truly a continuing inspiration for me...I love all of the varied interpretations and ideas so Keep 'Em Coming!!

For my card I used Bazzill CS for the card base, Prismatics Stormy Dark for matting, and Basic Grey's new June Bug for all DP. Gosh!! I think this is the cutest paper!!! As you will note, I followed the sketch very carefully, stamping Tilda with Hearts from the Valentine Collection 2009 twice and coloring both with Copics and adding a bit of Sunshine Yellow and Russet Red FlowerSoft so she would be gathering roses rather than hearts, and finally propping her up on dimensional tape. This Tilda is from Magnolia-licious and if it is not in stock at the moment, there are several Tildas holding chicks, etc that can be used in exactly the same way. I also used several types of textural trims and finally added Prima Trellis Roses and tiny button brads. The inside is very simple since the coordinating June Bug paper speaks well enough for itself. I did add a pewter rose charm to continue the rose thought from the front of the card.

I am so happy that you dropped by and hope that you will let us know what you think!! I hope that you will come back often!! I wish for each of you a magnificent July, an exciting and fun upcoming holiday weekend, and lots of smiles!!! Take care, be safe, and feel these big ol' Magnolia-licious hugs!!!!
